A Wrinkle in Time60second Book Review

some of you. Some of you already know Meg and Mrs. Who and Mrs. Whatsit and the giant,
pulsing brain.
My guess is, though, that even if it's a repeat, you'll still want to stick
around. So let's check out a children's literature classic ... For this week's Pick. If you're not familiar with A Wrinkle in Time,
by Madeleine L'Engle, I promise you, you're missing out.
Yes, there's a giant, pulsing
brain and a trip to a twisted place called Camazotz and all sorts of other downright
bizarre aspects to this story that don't make any sense when they're taken out of context.
(Although maybe they're just the littlest bit intriguing?) Either way, the main thing you should know
about A Wrinkle in Time is that it's got a gutsy, lovable protagonist named Meg who goes
on a journey like you can't imagine. But the journey isn't just terrific because it'll
keep you turning pages. (And let's get one thing straight: It will.) It's also terrific
because it'll take you new places emotionally, too. I know, I know.
That sounds unbearably cheesy,
but there's nothing cheesy about the way Madeleine L'Engle explores the depths and the meaning
of love. She is, without a doubt, one of my favorite writers ever. Which is another reason
you should pick up A Wrinkle in Time. Who knows.
Maybe she'll turn out to be one of
yours, too..
