Learn and Master Sign Language - Testimonial Review by Holly H
Hello my name is Holly Hyman. I'm an ASL teacher at Winter Springs High School in Orlando, FL. I recently received the Learn And Master Sign Language program, and it is an awesome course. The thing that I love most about this course is that it does not just teach English signs.
It teaches alot of ASL signs. It has ASL grammatical structure such as it goes over HOLMS, and it talks about hand shapes, orientation, location, movement, and expression. I also love that they do role shifting which is something that a lot of people don't learn when they're learning English sign language. ASL is very much about glossing and also classifiers and listing.
Classifiers are very important in sign language, because ASL is not just about learning signs and having conversation. It's all about classifiers and showing what you want to explain to somebody rather than telling them what you want. The instructors are great in the course. They are very animated.
They sign great. They have great facial expressions throughout the entire videos. Their quizzes are awesome as well. You can watch the video while looking at questions at the same time, and then you can answer them and see the answers.
I would recommend this course to many, many, many people. I would offer it all the way from beginner - all the way to advanced. They start out with the basics learning exactly what glossing is, what American Sign Language is, and it goes over a lot of cultural things too. .
