Man-Ape (Explained in a Minute)COMIC BOOK UNIVERSITY

Hey, guys, Professor Bill of Comic Book University
and Im going to explain Man-Ape in about a minute. Man-Apes first appearance was in Avengers
#62 in March of 1969 and he was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. Born in the Jabari Village in Wakanda, MBaku
was a good friend of TChalla, before hed won the mantle of the Black Panther. MBaku was a superb fighter, considered
second only to TChalla.

While always technologically advanced, under TChallas rule, Wakanda began to become more reliant on technology and began to abandon its primitive origins. This upset MBaku, who was more traditional. When TChalla left Wakanda for an extended
time to join the Avengers, MBaku made a move for the throne. TChallas family, the Panther Tribe,
had long outlawed their rivals, the White Gorilla tribe, but MBaku reformed it, calling
upon dissidents and other Wakandans who disapproved of TChallas rule.

He also went out and hunted one of the rare
white gorillas, killed it, ate its flesh and bathed in its blood, completing a mystical
ritual that endowed him with speed, stamina, agility, and durability greater than any Olympic athlete. Further, he became strong enough to lift up
to ten tons above his head and his muscles and skeletal structure increased to allow him to shrug-off some of TChallas strongest hits. Now standing at seven feet tall and weighing 355 lbs., MBaku usurped the throne, invoking the old laws of challenging the reigning king to physical combat. TChalla lost the battle but MBaku was crushed under the weight of the Wakandan panther statue.

One of his allies, the medicine man N'gamo,
used secret herbs to revive MBaku. Man-Ape has bested Black Panther several times in battle, proving to be one of his most effective enemies. He has been since banished from Wakanda for treason. And thats Man-Ape in about a minute..
