Important Books for JEE Main and Advanced - AIR 1, IIT JEE-2013

Hi guys, I am Sai Sandeep. I am currently in 3rd year of under graduation at IIT bombay. I have given my JEE in 2013. May be first I will start with Physics.

For theory, mostly HC Verma is a must
for everyone the problems there are good, but there are a bit easy and also they are few of them. DC Pandey series is good, it has lot of problems and its a very
good one for practice. Coming to chemistry reading
N.C.E.R.T books is a must. Sometimes direct questions come out of N.C.E.R.T textbooks.

I think, especially in inorganic chemistry one should have one should remember practically all the things
like all the equations and concepts of N.C.E.R.T textbooks. Chemistry as a whole N.C.E.R.T is very important. And coming to physical chemistry there are books like Dr. P.

Bahadur problem book is very good. And there's a theory book by Bahadur as well which is also good. And one problem with that book is it doesn't really doesn't really gives a good grasp on the concepts. So, there's one book called Atkins its an Oxford publication.

That's a very good book to get good grasp of the concepts. It doesn't have many problems but it just gives you the feel for Physical Chemistry topics like Thermodynamics. So, that is good for theory. And coming to Organic Chemistry, there's something called WADE
that is good but that doesn't have too many problems.

I think I don't personally recommend Morrison and Boyd so it depends on personal choice. WADE contains topics more or less of Morrison and Boyd and Morrison and Boyd  it is not really directed towards JEE. Wade is simplified version of Morrison and Boyd , though for some specific doubts you might want to refer to that but for study purpose I would recommend Wade. So, Maths I would say Arihant's series it has some five books I believe.

Thats a very good one for Maths. Most of the time I use to follow that. MTG has two books which mostly contains problems that is good for practice. I think one should not take too much pressure..
